Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Hardin County Criminal History. Browsing content or submitting a search means that you accept them. Do not continue using the site if you disagree with any term.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify official criminal-record resources in Hardin County and Kentucky. It is neither a private investigator nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site that operates independently from every government office. It does not hold official criminal records, perform official checks, retrieve documents, or file papers for visitors.

The content identifies Hardin County police and jail offices, Kentucky District and Circuit courts, Kentucky State Police, AOC FastCheck, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Users agree not to:

  • Use the site in violation of federal, Kentucky, or local law
  • Threaten, harass, or stalk another person with information found here
  • Use content for housing, hiring, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
  • Deploy scrapers, bots, or other automated collection tools
  • Disrupt service or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to intimidate, threaten, discriminate against, harass, or stalk anyone. That prohibition is especially important for the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Kentucky's KRS 17.500 through 17.580 framework governs registry information, which exists for public safety rather than vigilantism, housing discrimination, or employment blacklisting. Misuse may carry legal penalties.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and create no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Our advertising partners' tools are not offered for applicant, renter, credit, or insurance screening through this site. Users may not rely on site or linked-tool data to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official channel or an FCRA-compliant screening provider, with all required consent and procedures.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Kentucky attorney can assess how a Hardin County charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement rule applies to a specific situation.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are provided "as is." No warranty promises that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, custody, and expungement status can change. Updates may lag or remain incomplete. Nothing published here is an official statement of the Hardin Circuit Court Clerk, sheriff, police, KSP, AOC, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government pages, court systems, legal resources, and outside search services that we do not control. We are not responsible for a third party's content, availability, prices, or data handling. Its own terms apply after a visitor leaves this site.

8. Intellectual Property

Hardin County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, modifying, distributing, or creating derivative material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the site, its information, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims or demands caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms. Any dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Kentucky. Public-record access remains governed by the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as necessary.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
